Optimal Prescribing is a web-based course developed by LCF Research. This course and other projects were funded by The Attorney General Consumer and Prescriber Education Grant Program to help physicians, pharmacists, and consumers access fair and balanced prescription drug information and to reduce product marketing's influence on prescribing decisions. The course uses video clips, interactive pages, downloadable PDF references, text and narration to engage learners. Optimal Prescribing includes a pre-test, a brief introduction, three modules, a post-test, and an evaluation. There is also a 90-day delayed follow up survey to evaluate the impact of the material on prescribing practices.
